Requirements for Repatriation of Mortal Remains to Zimbabwe

  1. Notice of Death – from hospital.
  2. Non-Infectious Diseases Certificate – from hospital.
  3. Death Certificate – Ministry of Home Affairs.
  4. Certificate of Conveyance of Dead Body – Ministry of Health
  5. Embalming Certificate – from Funeral Undertaker
  6. With the above documents and the deceased’s passport, permission to import the remains into Zimbabwe will be granted at the port of entry (Plumtree Border Post)

NB: - A set of copies for the Botswana Border
- A set of copies for the Zimbabwe Border
- Originals for the Registry (Zimbabwe)
